Self Funded

As part of the charter of Overhauling, we do not use tithes and offerings given to the general account of any church. We function on the generosity of both public and private donations.

In this way, we do not increase the already high burden on church budgets. It also allows us to seek out different sponsorship and donation opportunities as well as provide specialized advertising opportunities to our top sponsors.

Sponsorship of Overhauling Ministries not only brings additional visibility to these companies but also helps them to be good neighbors themselves by giving back to the community.

More than just MONEY

You may guess that we need more than just money donations. Every project requires consumable materials. Lots of items we need are very generic and can be easily donated. Things like trash bags, wood, weed barrier, nails, screws, fertalizer, etc.

Along with these materials, we are often in need of hardware and equipment like paint rollers, paint brushes, shovels, brooms, rakes.

Occasionally we need to rent some more complex equipment like a ditch witch for trenching or a rototiller to help break up some rough ground.

Lastly, we like to leave behind a little something for the family. We would like to have a gift basket for each family that we serve. Things like hardware gift cards, restaurant gift cards, candles, toys for smaller children, small craft supplies, etc. The nice part about this is not the volume of gifts but the fact that these are often luxeries that these families can't afford. Giving them a chance to eat dinner at a "sit down" restaurant is often a huge blessing.
